  18. While Backup searches for the end of the tape, before it starts recording
  19. information, an access violation error message appears.
  20.  
  21. CAUSE
  22. =====
  23.  
  24. This message is caused by using a tape created with an older version of
  25. Windows NT Backup.
  26.  
  27. STATUS
  28. ======
  29.  
  30. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
  31. Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
  32. Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
  33. information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in
  34. the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
